General Info

If you’re exploring the dining scene around Berwyn, one spot that instantly feels welcoming is D'cache Latin Cafe. This cozy restaurant blends a trendy vibe with a laid-back atmosphere, making it a great choice whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for a relaxed meal.

From the moment I walked in, the energy felt warm and inclusive. The space is not only stylish but also thoughtfully designed, with a clear commitment to being a transgender safe space. That kind of attention to comfort really adds to the overall experience, especially if you’re planning to linger and enjoy the menu at your own pace.

Speaking of the menu, there’s a nice mix of comforting and flavorful options. One standout is the Single Papa Rellena-crispy on the outside, soft and savory on the inside. It’s the kind of dish that feels both hearty and satisfying without being too heavy. Alongside it, the Tostones bring a crunchy, golden bite that pairs perfectly with just about anything you order.

If you’re visiting earlier in the day, the Mini Pancakes are a fun and slightly indulgent choice. They’re light, slightly sweet, and ideal if you’re in the mood for something playful yet comforting. And honestly, no visit here feels complete without trying their Iced Coffee. It’s smooth, refreshing, and lives up to the “great coffee” reputation the place has built.

Another thing I appreciated is how the restaurant caters to different preferences. There are solid vegetarian options available, so it’s easy to find something that fits your taste. Plus, practical details like a clean restroom and efficient service make the overall visit feel seamless.

When it comes to reviews, this place tends to leave a strong impression thanks to its balance of food quality and atmosphere. It’s not just about the dishes-it’s about how everything comes together. The location is convenient, the setting is trendy without feeling overdone, and the service ties it all together nicely.

Overall, this Berwyn restaurant delivers a well-rounded experience. Whether you’re coming in for coffee, exploring the menu, or just looking for a welcoming place to hang out, it feels like a spot you’ll want to return to more than once.

“ My partner and I were sooo happily surprised by how good this place was, we both said we would definitely come back if we're ever in the area again. Wasn't busy at all for a Friday evening around 6PM, but I hope they get a lot of business later in the night. It's a small spot, but the decorations are so cute, and the one employee at the front was very sweet and attentive. - Loaded Nachos: the chips are perfect, and it's so filling we could barely eat our actual entrees - Chicken Empanada: absolutely solid - Cubarito (1 Lechon + 1 Steak): the meat and sauce are delicious, but I always get blindsided expecting the plantain (essentially the bun substitute) to be a bit less dry and always get a little thrown off. - Philly Quesadilla: sOoooooOo good, I originally wanted to get a quesadilla, but ended up trying the Cubarito, so glad my partner decided to get one. we had leftovers for later, and usually he finishes everything - Mango Shake: the shake was amazing, and it's actually enormous, so glad I got the XL because we both ended up drinking it (and my partner isn't always the biggest fan of mango/mango-flavored things) ”

“ They treated me with great hospitality, food and drinks were delicious. First time I had this dish. Whenever I'm back in Chicago I will most definitely be back. I would absolutely recommend this spot if you have a taste for Hispanic/Jamaican food. Great place to eat!! ”

“ I haven't had food with such sabor (flavor) in so long that wasn't cooked at home. Not salty at all. Great service. I'm definitely going back. Ordered the yuca rellenas, papa rellenas, Pollo encebollado, and the lechon. We were surprised with toasted French bread with homemade guava butter!!!!! ”

“ I can’t believe I hadn’t come to this restaurant sooner. The food is delicious, like truly delicious. I’ve tried other Puerto Rican restaurants, and none compare to this one. Our waitress was super friendly, and the prices are very affordable. I definitely recommend it! We will definitely keep coming back. ”

“ We went when they first opened. Everything was delicious and just 1000/10. The service was wonderful too. I got the chilaquiles con lechón. The lechón was out of this world. Chilaquiles had a crunch. My husband got the jibarito and it was delicious. Definitely coming back ”

“ Tried this place for the first and definitely will be coming back. The woman behind the counter was very nice and welcoming. The restaurant has a warm cozy vibe I will dine in next time. The cubarito was very delicious and filling. The bistec was well seasoned and tendered. I recommend this place. Try the mango shake! You won’t regret it. ”

“ Omfg!!!!! Not sure how long this gem has been here, but the food was fabulous!!! I ate a Cubarito chicken sandwich. A large mango passion fruit drink with a side of tostones/Maduro. I was planning to have a coffee and dessert. But super full with that sandwich. Definitely will return to try other items. The ppl working were very friendly and consistent in checking if I needed anything. I loved it!!! ”

“ First time here with my friend and we loved it so much! Will definitely be back! The woman at the counter was super nice and even let us have her pick out aguas frescas flavors, both of which were super good. We got the one of the sandwich’s (i cannot remember the name but it started with an B) and the cubano which were both delicious and fresh. Prices are decent for the portions. Would definitely recommend (: ”
